The past week and a half at Millennium Personnel was a bit hectic. Considering the fact that the Office Manager was on vacation, me and another intern had to learn new duties. Although I was somewhat confused of how things were to be done, I managed to work around it and accomplish the tasks.
Prior to her vacation, the Office Manager taught us and gave us a weekly/daily schedule consisting of the tasks to be done; such as helping with payroll, creating and completing a checklist, deposit procedures and check distributions.
However, given limited time in learning the process in doing these duties, it ultimately resulted in little memorization; causing me to have a challenging time doing a checklist or preparing payrolls. But, even though I was experiencing this, I was constantly reminded that it was OK, because I was an INTERN; meaning this was a learning process/experience. I wasn’t expected to do a superb job. I was there to practice and learn. In the end, what was supposed to be done was completed.
