When I first came to Millennium Personnel, I had no idea what it meant to work in an office. I had come from a hospitality background, that involved a completely different type of customer service altogether. They were kind enough to sit down with me after looking over my completely inappropriate resume, and offer me a temp position to beef up my office experience. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I accepted.
To be honest, I thought it would be mundane, frivolous office work. I mean, how hard could filing papers really be, right? Well, nothing could be further from the truth.
Interning at Millennium involved being up to date with social networking pools, being professional and quick on my feet over the phone, and multitasking while minimizing error.
Probably the biggest advantage of Interning at Millennium is that blunders are fully accepted, if not encouraged. The staff at Millennium realizes that mistakes only ensure future success. I was never made to feel inadequate or foolish for asking sometimes obvious questions, or making ridiculous mistakes.
I will leave this internship with new perspective, more experience and most of all, better confidence. I now feel fully rehearsed, and capable to perform any multitude of office work. Thank you Millennium!
